Shabz, is your car stick or auto? You might have forgotten to hook up a vacuum line.

Agu nob, any car with electronic fuel injection will have an ECU (aka EMS). Just about every Honda built after 1988 has EFI. Some cars built outside of Japan, Europe, and the USA were still carbeurated though.

The GS-R already has one of the best tuned ECUs for its engine. The only better would be the ITR ECU, and even then it won't work since the GS-R engine can't rev as high or flow as much air into the engine to support the fuel map.

What if you do heavy upgrades? I take it to a dyno tuner. what happens if I reset my ECU after the dyno tuner? what exactly does a dyno tuner do for an upgraded car?

i'm completely lost when it comes to ECU and the electronics for a car. can someone give me lots of explanation for all of that?

so where do ya het the ECU reset? or can i just buy a after market chip? for $79.99?

So I guess you didn't read the article? It's free and requires only a single wrench (not even that if you know where your ECU's fuse is).
