The R18 engine uses the Miller Cycle instead of the Otto Cycle. That idea will be the future of engines, so keep an eye out for it. You could acutally just swap out the cam and retune the ECU and ditch the whole Miller Cyclle idea. Remember that when this system is stuck on DOHCs. With a bit of brains, you could pick up a dirt cheap motor and make it fast. Check out Sport Compact Car's September 2003 "Technobable" for more on Miller. It's still on their website.

yes the accord can be a single over head cam . so can a mustang v6 or a motero sport with a v6 . well mines v6 and has a sohc

Actually theres not many DOHCs over 4cyls... If Honda were smart they'd take the time to build a DOHC V8 V-tec and put it in the Ridgline to keep up with its Japanese competitor the Tundra.. I bet they would sell a lot of them..

not a bad idea dre..... but as a previous Toyota Sequoia owner, and considering that the Seq sits on a Tundra chassis, my opinion now is that these Tundra owners will eventually go back to being Honda owners

I have been saying that Honda should build a V8 for a while now. Especially since the foundation for the motor is already sitting in 25 IRL cars, 4 F1 cars, and 4 ALMS cars (if my math is correct). They use a DOHC V8, all Honda needs to do is bore it out a bit for the torque.

My dad bought a Toyoa Matrix a few years ago. I have decided that the only Toyotas I would ever consider are the Supra, AE86, and the early MR2s. The Matrix was designed very poorly and after 3 yers with it, I do not see why everyone raves over Toyota.

The only Toyota I will ever own is a Supra. All my cars will be Honda and all my trucks will be Dodge....
