So I was supposed to move the car today, and guess what? The battery was dead. The car's been sitting for 4 months, so it'sto be expected. Unfortunately the jump car also had an old battery (the guy said his warning lights were coming on when I tried to jump the CRX). And then I nearly broke the only key we had when the lock jammed up on me. Hopefully I can get it out of there next week and drive it around some more (with an expired tag and no insurance). Ah, the life of a Lemon.

Haha. Did you read the first post? Almost happened. This time I've got the number tag from my Integra (in DE you have to have a number tag if you have a vanity tag). It's perfectly legal...on my Integra. As long as I'm not doing anything dumb, I shouldn't get busted.

So after about 3 weeks of half hearted trying (and many failed atempts to get it started), I finally moved the car out of my friend's mom's garage. We towed it 5 miles to my other friend's driveway. With an Integra. And a 20 year old piece of rope. Illegally. And we got pulled over. Thankfully we had a cool cop who just laughed at us and told us to park it in the nearest parking lot and get it towed the right way. Which was ok, since the rope had just broken for the 5th time. We just went back at 11 the next night. And we brought chains. Once we made the last mile, I found out I bent both of the brand new shackles I had just bought from the hardware store. Then on Saturday, we finally got to work on getting it started. I unplugged the fuel pump, plugged it back in, and it fired right up. I don't know why it was being such a PITA before, but I finally have it in my own driveway (which is beginning to get quite crowded). We're still waiting for approval to race, but that should come in 2 weeks.

WE ARE IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just got the email yesterday, Team Ragged Budget Racing will officially be attending the Stafford Speedway race in Connecticut on August 23 and 24!!! I am so stoked. Now if only the car will start...I think the starter motor died.
