No updates right now. I'm charging the battery and we have a starting problem (I'm hoping it's just because the battery is dead). Anyway, once SAE gets doe in 2 weeks, we will start working on the car. However that's up in the air because nobody on my team has paid up any money for this. Right now this has all come out of my pocket and it's starting to hurt. Plus I'm trying to work out the bugs in my Sil-Eighty, which has a temp tag that expires in 2 weeks.

Sadly, Team Ragged Budget Racing is no more. Even though we made the event, most of my team has flaked out on me. Three members decided they didn't want in on this, which left only three of us left. A team needs at least 5 drivers. There's a nonrefundable registration fee due on July 6, and I'm not about to cough up that kind of money without a solid or full team. I'm really annoyed by all of this, since I truly think we would have had a shot at the podium. Unfortunately, I don't have much of a choice right now.

Actually I do. If anyone really wants to hop on at the last second, and wants to fork over $200 in a day, I'm open to that. Realize that you will be paying more than that later on, but $200 is just the buy in for the team. That $200 is non refundable by the way. If you think that's unfair, realize I've already invested $600 in this car. The deadline would be tomorrow (Tuesday the 1st), mostly because I will be mailing a check. So if anyone is interested, PM and get your check in the mail.

If not, anyone interested in a ratbox '89 CRX DX? I'll get it running and put the interior back in (and fix the missing lug nut). $800 if you want it (have to come and get it though). I have the title too. Other than the starting issue (which I just haven't had time to hunt down yet) it runs fine.

Such is life. I kinda figured this would happen since we got together so early. A coulpe of these guys are good friends and one guy was flaking almost the moment we bought the car. Whatever, as long as I at least break even selling the car, I will be satisfied.

Have you thought about taking this to another forum? honda-tech.com would probably be pretty interesting. Or my old buddies at mx6.com or probetalk.com may be able to help. Sorry I can't, with the distance and a baby on the way, I don't have the time or the money right now.

Well I've already officially resigned. The fees are due in 3 days anyway, so ebven if I found some other people, there money probably wouldn't make it to me in time. I appreciate the support everyone has given me, especially here, I'm really sorry it didn't work out. Maybe another time.
