The 5.0 is a TURD. I have smoked those things like nothing. I once gave a guy a 2 car lead and still walked him, but the old saying of no replacement for displacement is true. Now if I could find a Supra I would love to build one of those. Then I always have in the back of my mind what I can do to an Odyssey...hmmmm?

H22? No way I would go with the J35 and build that block with RL pistons and a J32 Type S heads and cams. Then go custom turbo...... That would be one hell of a family wagon. lol

Thumbs up

I've driven a lot of cars but I have to say that I loved each of them in a different way. I loved BMWs for being so well rounded -- power, handling and sophistication, the nissan 350 was my favorite to drive on a daily basis, the s2k is fantastic to drive at high speeds and through the bends. Don't hate me for this, but the corvette z06 is my favorite for raw muscle in a straight line -- though the price tag is awefully high (never owned this one personally).

I would ove to have a Hennessey Viper TT. With a few extra mods and a pi$$ load of money, you could have 2,000 horsepower in a street car. I think that car could run in the 7s, no problem.

A 5.slow? Dre, you obviously haven't seen a good Mustnag then. My buddies Cobra just ran a 13.4. And that's mostly stock. However, when my Sil-Eighty is done...well, it will be a 5.slow...

That would be pretty sick. I saw the tony stewart corvette giveway car on the speed channel this morning. That thing looked pretty bad also... they put huge twin garrets on the thing... it was nasty and somewhat affordable. Apparently it also got 30 mpg on the highway.

For the whole package, I sill love the foreign cars though =) (and the rest of the crowd cheers).

Any idiot can put a jet engine in a car and fly down a straight line...

The real artist can take a car and make it perform like a jet....

Plus take a turn

Plus ride and work as a daily driver

Plus get over 30 mpg!!!

And I agree Eyes. You think I would leave the suspension alone in any car that fast? I would put a rollcage in, seam weld the whole frame, new seats, dry carbon body panels (including a solid roof), Moton dampers, fully adjustable sway bars and toe links, carbon driveshaft, Stasis brake rotors and Brembo brakes, Nitto NT-01 tires on magnesium wheels, and a bulletproof rear end with a Quaife limited slip. Literally the works. The engine would also have a straight exhaust that dumps under the middle of the car (no sid exits) and scramble boost. That short list is the tip of the iceberg. It would be the fastest street car, period. It would also cost upward of 250 grand. That is my DREAM car. On race gas, it would make over 2000 horsepower. On 87 octane, there would be a separate tune that could get me about 25 mpg. Just let the blowers do most of the work. Given enough tuning, I bet it could run on only 5 cylinders. And that would get about 30 mpg highway.

And while the last owner set up my Sil-Eighty for drag racing, I am going to be doing autocrossing with it. Most of the parts are there (except real coilovers), so I can make it work. It just needs to come out of the shop.

Very good! I would NEVER EVER run anything without a rollcage since I destroyed my old J-body...the cage literally saved my life...

You should of seen it...the whole car was twisted but the cage remained freakin square and true!!!
