I inherited a 2004 Accord EX V6 Sedan w/30,000 miles on it. It is stock except for a AEM S.R.I. that I put on. I am going to put 18" rims on it and use it as a daily driver to work.My wife is crapping her pants over how much $ I am putting in to the silver bullet. I have purchased a skunk 2 Racing muffler and I have a question concerning back pressure. I am temporary cutting corners by going to a muffler shop and having them remove the entire dual exhuast (small diameter ) leaving one of the two resinators.The resinator staying is directly under the gear shifter and we will run 2.5" back to the skunk. I am not doing any thing to an O2 sensor so I am assuming I will not recieve any eng alarms. Will I be o.k. with back pressure is my main concern? Should I leave both resinators? Please respond with any suggestions

IMO your car will be fine since its a v6. In fact it would benefit from this mod since a v6 flows more air into and out of the engine ( correct me if im wrong). A larger size exhaust wont really hurt your torque. The J30 is a torqy engine, unlike a 1.6,1.7 or 1.8 hondas. If one was to instal 2.5" piping on in of those low displacement engines, you might end up with major torque losses.

THANKS FOR YOUUR REPLY I APPRECIATE IT! SHOULD I KEEP THE FRONT REONATOR, BOTH OR REMOVE BOTH. I HAVE BEEN TOLD I SHOULD PUT A TURBO MUFFLER ON INSTEAD OF THE SKUNK 2,WHAT DO YOU THINK? IF I WAS TO PUT A HSK TURBO ON DOWN THE ROAD WOULD I HAVE TO BUY CUSTOM HEADERS TO GO WITH A STAINLESS CAT-BACK? I ASK THIS BECUASE MY MANIFOLDS LOOK ATTACHED TO THE BLOCK LIKE NO OTHER MANIFOLDS I HAVE EVER SEEN PLUS I HAVE NEVER SEEN HEADERS ADVERTISE FOR A 2004 V6.THANKS AGAIN.

A HKS turbo will have a manifold to replace your header/exhaust manifold.

Just have your stock mufflers removed and have the skunk 2 welded up. If it's not loud enough have 1 res removed, if still not loud enough for you remove the other one. If you still have a catalytic converter exhaust won't do you a ton of good. Turbo muffler is the same as a glass pack or just a bad idea in general. These people like extreamly loud and rice sounding cars.
