V8 Eater!

A small shot of nitrous is always a plus. You could also drop in a set of j35 cams and get a great up in power with that.
The list just never ends. Its all on how deep your pockets are.

Header, spark plugs/cables, pulleys and cam gears, and a cam. Intake manifold wouldn't hurt either.

Headers= first step in exhuast aka pipes that come off the engine better pipes mean higher flow and better heat control for more hp.
SparkPlugs and cables= are the wires that appear to go straight into the engine block and ignite the gas mixture once injected better sparks and wires offer a stronger spark so it burns more gas quicker aka more hp. Pulleys= etheir drive or are driven by the belt, lighter pulleys mean faster engine response. Cam gears and Cam= are what control the valves, each cylinder has 4 valves. 2 open to inject fuel at the proper time, 2 open to release the exhuast fumes from the cylinder. Aftermarket cam gears, and cams change the timing which allows higher for more power. Intake Manifold= Controls the amount of air given to the engine, more air often means more power. Same concept as CAI but the next step in the process. MSD= is also in the genre of ingnition of the fuel mixture. It allows for an even stronger and longer spark. Also with the right parts and a new ECU you can even raise your cars redline. Beaters knows more on specific brands and parts than I do cause im pretty new to honda, goodluck with your build. Beaters fill him in on the best brands with bang for your buck. |

Looks like I'm going to have to do an engine basics article to explain all this stuff.
Go pick up an issue of Sport Compact Car (if you get this month's, you'll see my letter to the editor). Check out the brands that appear in the ads and check out their websites. Then subscribe to SCC because it's the best tuning magazine out there.
