Default Engine Swaps with Prelude

Does anyone know if you can put a 2 liter Accord engine year 93 into an 89 Prelude automatic?

I am not 100% but I believe it is a straight forward swap.

Well since the Accord and Prelude have mostly the same front end, it should work. My knowledge on both of these cars is a bit fuzzy. Are the 89 Prelude and the 93 Accord the same generation (ie were they built off the same generation frame. For example, the 1995-2001 Integra is the same frame as the 1992-2000 Civic). If they are, then the engine should swap right in. If its not, then you will have to deal with the emissions systems since they will probably be different.

Check teh engine codes. Find an engine with the same code. That will be a direct fit.
