You could always go FRANKENSTEIN and rebuild to get the best of both worlds.

Thanks, folks. I guess it is performing as expected. You know how it is with power: We always ask for just a little more....
It does run better than my '96 EX which had over 170,000 miles on it. This '97 has 130,000 and is noticably more peppy. My '96 DX was new, so maybe that is why it seemed quicker.
I like your suggestions and will proceed with the more mild ones to start.
