I am looking to buy a new accord but was thinking i could take the brand new tires of my current car before I trade it in.

the accord's stock tire size is 215/60/16

i don't know anything about tire size but maybe that info will help.

I'm no expert on tires, but it sounds as though the tires you have are slighly wider than stock, and I've heard of people having no problem with slightly wider tires, especially when they are not low profile.

Dont do it bud.

That will through your speedo off.

Here is a link where you can calculate how much it will throw your speedo off. based on that you can make a choice if you can live with it or not

I just looked it up... looks like its only 1.8% off.. so when the speed says your doing 60 your really doing 61.1
