On the 2.4l engine in the 07 accords, how can I bump the compression up from 9:7:1 to 10:5:1 thats in the 08 accord. Is honda just reprogramming the ecu's or are the two engines different with certain components. Also, what does honda do to increase the rev limiter on the engines and what should I do?

There are many ways to change the compression in a car. The easiest, a thinner head gasket, or a set of pistons. Also you can mill the head and use a thinner head gasket, this should set your com ratio to what you probably want, if not the pistons alone would do the job.
Also, the k24 found on tsx have higher compression. |

Why do you want to raise your compression to that of the new accord's? Its not going to give you new-accord power. The new engine uses an updated i-VTEC system and is half a liter bigger, among other changes.

If you would like to raise the compression the easiest and most reliable way is to change your pistons. Make sure the specs are correct before you purchase. If you plan on getting a turbo I wouldnt even change the pistons. But if you arent you should go a little higher with the compression anyways. Thats my opinion. Well good luck.
