1. Save everthing you take out of the car incase you ever want to sell it!
2. Get down to the bare metal...dont just go over the carpet!
3. Buy plenty of sound deadening material...to do it right you will need to cover everything that is metal! You will be suprised at how much sound the carpet and rear seat absord!
4. Plan you box to where you can put the amps out of the sunlight or with a false panel and actually have a lid like on the top of a toolbox. We all know how hot amps get and heat from sunlight is something you dont want to compound the problem!
5. If possible...whenever I help a friend install a system I install a computer cooling fan in the amp. A cooled amp is a happy amp! It is very easy to do. They run on 12 volts and all you do is hook the red to positive and the black to the negative leads on the amp...so when the amp comes on the fan comes on. You can get them at radio shack for about $10 and they work great!
