Yes... To lower engine bay temps, and "protect" heat sensitive parts... especially cause my exhaust header is in the front close to my radiator and fan.... but lower the entire engine bay temp as well, because hot air is bad air... I have a cold air intake but if the engine is hot enough to raise the temp inside the pipe the air is going to pass through it and be hot too... Thats why people wrap their header and optional down pipe... I am going to wrap my down pipe as well because it runs right under my oil pan.... and I don't want to have my oil getting any hotter than it has to...
And one more thing if your a poser and want to "look cool" then you have somebody else wrap your header cause your we-todded and can't do it yourself.
