Default Slide on dry road?

('93 Civic EX)

What would cause a front-wheel drive civic to have its back end feel like it's sliding slightly when turning?

I've just noticed this recently. I don't know if I'm just going insane and focusing on something that's not actually happening or if there is really a cause.

Sometimes when I'm in a turn, especially a left turn, it feels like my back end slides a bit in the opposite direction. I notice it feels like this especially when the car has less power (when I turn on the AC, I lose a substantial amount of power)

What should I check for?

I know what this feels like too because I used to own a rear-wheel drive Thunderbird that I could drift on dry pavement fairly easily if I purposely made the attempt to.
