They put stability control on all high end cars and it works. Most of the time you'd be glad you had it. In sports cars like the Porsche you can turn it off if you want to be able to drift. However, just because one has a sports car, doesn't necessarily mean he/she knows how to drive it. For most american street drivers it's not just a good idea, it's a great idea. It can save your bacon literally and we'd all be glad to have it in some of these super fast exotics if we had one. Even the Vette has it. Someday, not too far off they will all have it, even the little econ boxes. You bet it's here to stay; technology is on a roll. Just imagine, mmmmm, say 75 years from now or maybe 100, they'll look back at this time on our roads similarly the way we do to the cowboy days; "you mean people walked around with guns on"; or "you mean people actually drove cars unassisted by technology to help them stay in control". Wait and see, well of course I'll be dead but some of you young bucks will live to see it. People will be horrified to think that we drove with a steering wheel without autopilot.

So get used to it.
