Prelude Beats Truck In Speaker Wars
Denver ,CO--104th Ave. and I-25 was the scene of a bloody speaker war between a truck outfitted with an after-market sound system and a little green Honda Prelude.
"The truck pulled up beside me, and as I sat there seat dancing to my own music, he decided I had to listen to his crap music instead," said Whirling Dervish, proud Honda owner.
She went on to explain how the bass from the truck started her heart beating irregularly it was so loud. "I could feel it all thorough my chest, so what I did was a matter of survival."
Whirling said that although she doesn't like country music, she felt it was the best weapon in this case. "I didn't want to do it, but I had no choice. It was self defense." She opened her windows, located the whiniest country song she could find, turned up all EQ levels, stuffed as much in her ears as she could find (including bubble gum), and cranked the volume.
"The driver of the truck immediately saw his mistake when she brandished Billy Rae Cyrus," said a local policeman on the scene. "He stood down, but it was too late. Just as he lowered his volume the passenger side door started melting from the heat of the conflicting music styles and the friction between the bass in the truck and the treble in the country vocals. It was too late."
Eventually the truck burst into flames, and Ms. Dervish was able to pull the driver of the truck to safety.
"Yeah," said the truck driver. "She, like, saved me and everything, but, like, she started it man!!!!"
No charges will be filed on either driver, but the truck driver was admitted to a rehab facility for an ice-cream and lollipop dependency.
