Sounds like a grounding problem. Do you know how to take the headunit out of the dash?

If so find the solid black wire on the back and cut it in 2 pieces with good amounts of wire from the stock unit. Get some extra wire (and do not use speaker wire) and run it to a new ground. If that isn't a fix then I suggest a new head unit.
