ya the 12,000k Refers to the color spectrum 3,800k are what your stock should put out they are a sorts yellowish color. The next step up is 4,000k (silver star) a more whiter color. But you realize that the higher you go up the Kelvin scale the hotter and brighter they get. Next would be 4,300k witch would be what most BMW’s have ex.. That’s about the whites your going to get. Then there’s either 5,000k or 6,000k witch would be a light green color. Then it goes to the cool colors like blue and purple, and let me tell you, you can’t miss these cars. They are 8,000k (blue), and 12,000k (purple). I hope this makes sense, but if you have a chance to look at the back of the box of the silver star lights they give you a color chart that I described. Oh and I believe that my HID’s are 35 watts of power. And I think that your stock ones are 45w low b and 55w high b.
