^^^^Only if the car is British, lol. Actually most cars with an even number of gears have some sort of lockout device installed for reverse. For example, you have to push down on the gear lever or pull up the shift knob or something like that (my dad's morgan has 4 gears, with reverse on the left. You have to pull the shift lever up until it clicks before it will shift into reverse. That way you can't accidentaly shift into reverse).
Removing 6th is a waste of money. If you downgrade to a 5 speed, it will have to come out of a base RSX or an EP3 Civic Si (2002-2005). But with the 6-speed, you will get better gas mileage and better performance. Part of the fun of that car is rowing through the gearbox and if you swap in some random gearset, you will lose that (since it won't be tuned for your engine and it's powerband). And no, you can't just remove the gear for your transmission. Learn how to drive it a bit better and you won't see any need to swap it out.
