to add TJ213 also said money was an issue and the itr motor with trany, ecu, mounts, harness, etc. is easily 8000 plus. Where as the b16a2 is half that. Plus there are pros and cons between the two. The ITR may have more power and liters and torque but it is slower to rev up verses the b16(stock on both). the redlines are about the same and engauge about the same. the weight is less in the b16 than the ITR or b18. And to keep a well balanced car you pay close attention to that stuff or the front will drive horribly and could possibley put excessive where on all the components in the front of the car. So yes the b18 may be much better when you look at in on the outside and all the stuff that is possible to do to it, but the b16 is just as great with the possibilities but if you look closer you will see where some might find it to be a superior engine. The only way to make the b16 the best is to go for the CTR or get a b16 and do a custom CTR build on it and balance it. That to me is the best engine both for cost and effenciency.
