Buy a bypass valve for your CAI. That will prevent hydrolock so you don't have to worry about driving through puddles.
A short ram can be just as effective as a CAI if there is a vent for it. I set my filter right over the stock intake snorkel which helps. But I was too cheap to do a full CAI on my crappy Integra.
