Street racing is a pretty touchy subject. I'll do it on occasion if it's going to be a good race, no traffic is around, no where for police to hide. It's rare though.
Back on topic... In newer cars the computer has the ability to 'learn', it will change for air density, intake temp, and fule octane. I have to run 93 all the time. If i run 89 my car is noticably slower, and 87 at WOT it will ping at VTEC engagement. I do suggest the use of mid grade/ 89 in every car because 87 is pretty watered down.
