If you are mechanically inclined, then it's not the worst thing in the world. It can be done, but it helps if you know a bit about what you are working on. I would reccomend selling the car and buying a stick from around the same yesr. If you play your cards right, then you can profit (since autos tend to resale for more than sticks) so you will have a bit left over for mods.
A B18B runs for about $900 with accessories. A B18C1 costs about $1600+. Add in another $600 or so for the rest of the clip (providing it hasn't been gutted) and that's your parts cost. Also $500 for the LSD. Then add about $600 for LSD installation, and then the rest is up to how much you can wrench.
