Honda Fit 2007
It is extremely well designed small car, versatile and
spacious inside beyond imagination. What I would
change/improved in the future is:
1. Wheels (14") are too small; front overhang too low, so
there are problems with driving on snowy roads, particularly
in Northern States.
2.Floor mats. They are not on a standard equipment; only molded
rubber ones were available for $154 added to puchase price.
I plan to add another set of regular (fabric ones) for summer driving;
rubber mats smell nasty during hot days.
3. Cruise control: manufacturer does not provide an option for Cruise
control installation on stanard models, only sport one has c.c. installed
as a standard equipment. Installation by the dealer requires some
changes and is costly (around $500)
4. Last but not least: disappointing mileage. Opinions in that matter
are quite polarized, I cannot go beyond 26 gallons in the city driving
and beyond 30 on the highway. It is way below manufacturers claims.
I've disussed that matter with the dealer, who said, that nothing can
be adjusted to improve gas mileage, as it the whole component is
factory sealed(!) I wonder if other owners have similar experience.
