Well if you want to do the LSD, then you are better off rebuilding. The diff in a front-drive car is at the bottom of the trans, so everything has rto come out anyway. If you can afford it and can stand having your car in the shop for a while, I would reccomend cryo-treating the gear set. They dip the gears in liquid nitrogen and align all the metal's molecules. Basically it will make the gears stronger and they will last much longer. Since you have to take it all apart, it might make sense to do this. It's up to you, but I would go for it if you can afford it.
