That's illegal. All cars must have mufflers to pass inspection and in some states is a primary offense, meaning cops can pull you over for that alone. Cut outs (ie, drilling holes in the exahust) are also illegal.

True, you lose out a bit on your fuel economy as well but when I took my muffler off to put on my new Magnaflow I had to make a couple Canadian Tire runs to get some exhaust reducers - you def notice a power difference and it sounds nice though - I thought about just piping it back and throwing a tip on but it woulda been a waste of a muffler I got it on clearance cuz my buddy knocked it down haha so it was non returnable.
