Flowmaster makes good stuff, not just for V8s. Although sound has a lot to do with the engine itself, not the exhaust. More cylinders means more burble and less whine. And the more of the exhaust you open, the more of the sound you get (ie, if you just do the muffler, you get less than if you do a cat back or catback & headers, etc). Intakes help too and can even be silent under part throttle. But, YE BE WARNED cops listen to loud exhausts and a fat sewer pipe out back makes you a huge target. Personally, I'd take a good flowing exhaust that's quiet, over something loud and obnoxious. The charm wears out prety quick. Oh and you also have to deal with the some of the Ricer Bible problems.
